The ideal caregiver demonstrates:
- Ability to serve each client with dignity and respect
- Strong communication skills
- Successful completion of annual training
- Client confidentiality
- Desire to satisfy the needs of another above their own
Responsibilities of a caregiver:
- Maintain a safe environment, adhering to all MNDH safety and health requirements
- Assist clients with their activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, meals, etc.)
- Exercise and medication reminders and administration
- Dementia/cognitive decline care
- Understand, accept, and respond to the needs of each client
